A comprehensive Islamic companion app for the Maldives—countrywide prayer times, Qibla, Qur’an and duas with Dhivehi support, native widgets, and daily worship tools. Built with Flutter; free and ad-free on iOS and Android (Coming soon).

Noor is a comprehensive Islamic mobile application designed for people in the Maldives. It provides rigorously sourced prayer times across administrative regions—including outlying island communities—and presents Qibla direction so users can align with confidence from virtually anywhere in the archipelago.

Beyond the timetable, the product emphasizes thoughtful daily use: customizable adhan notifications, native widgets for both the lock screen and home screen, and a substantial library that includes the Qur’an and duas with Dhivehi translations. Reflective daily quotes and a tasbih counter support dhikr and steady spiritual rhythm outside formal prayer.

The client is implemented in Flutter and Dart with platform-appropriate integration (including Swift and Kotlin where native surfaces are required), aiming for a responsive, low-latency experience on both iOS and Android. Interaction patterns and visual hierarchy are tuned for clarity—so essential tasks remain fast during busy days.

The platform is intentionally ad-free, with no subscription or in-app purchase required at present, prioritizing accessibility and trust over monetization while the roadmap continues to evolve.

Development began in 2023, with an initial public release in November 2025 and ongoing work on interface polish, feature depth, and reliability. The broader intent is to pair modern mobile engineering with established Islamic practice—offering a dependable companion for salat, reflection, and observance aligned with local context.
